IN THE BEGINNING

I limited myself to the six required Hoffman fabrics for this years challenge, plus one suggested fabric #178 198-Apricot. To insure there were enough repeats in the fabrics for the design elements, it required a lot of fussy cutting. I was looking for the best contrasts and variations in color, print, and texture.
I'm using one of my original patterns, that I have offset, fragmented and reconstructed, revealing a secondary design.
A flange was set into the boarders to accent the horizontal and vertical details.
Linear machine quilting was used throughout.
I enjoyed every part in creating this "Modern Traditionalism" piece!
